The Clifton Park Soccer Club offers three levels of player development to meet the needs of every player, from beginners to competitive athletes: Rec, Club, and Evolution.
Recreational (Rec)
Our entry-level program designed to introduce children to soccer in a fun, supportive environment.
- Runs September–October and April–June
- Coached by parent volunteer
- Cost: $65 per 8-week session in Fall and $130 per 8-week session for Divisions 1,2,3 and $65 for Divisions 0,4 in the Spring
Club
A competitive program with licensed, paid coaches, focusing on skill development and league play.
- Season: September–June
- League: Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL) in Fall & Spring
- Winter: Indoor games at Afrim’s Sports locations (1+ per weekend)
- Training: 1–2x per week Fall/Spring; 1x per week Winter
- Tournaments: 1 in Fall, 1 in Winter, 2–3 in Spring
- Cost: $750 for 10 months (+ approx. $500 for tournaments/indoor play)
Evolution
Our most competitive program with advanced training, professional coaches, and higher-level league play.
- Season: September–June
- League: Upstate United Elite Development Program (EDP) in Fall & Spring
- Winter: Indoor games at Afrim’s Sports (1+ per weekend)
- Training:
- U6: 2x per week Nov–Mar
- U8: 1–2x per week Fall/Spring; 1x per week Winter
- Travel teams: 2x per week Fall/Spring; 2x per week Winter (gym & turf)
- Tournaments: 2 in Fall, 2 in Winter, 3–4 in Spring
- Cost: $1,500 for 10 months
- U6: $450 (Nov–Mar)
- U8: $750
- Additional ~$500 for tournaments and travel costs
Academy-Style Training
All players benefit from an academy-style training environment, with classroom sessions and development-focused training. Players may be rostered in different groups week to week to best match their current skill level.
Player Movement
Transfers between Club and Evolution can occur in November and February based on performance and coach feedback. Tuition is prorated if a transfer occurs.
