Steven Appleton serves as Director of Coaching for Clifton Park Soccer Club, bringing extensive international experience in player development, coach education, and program leadership. He is a UEFA A-licensed coach who has worked in professional academy environments connected to clubs such as Liverpool, Everton, and Stoke City, and has coached and mentored players and

coaches across multiple countries.

As Director of Coaching, Steven oversees player development across the club, supports and mentors coaches, leads training initiatives, and helps ensure players are developing appropriately at each age level. He also coaches the U12 and U14 Evolution teams and plays a

key role in strengthening and growing the club’s girls program.

Steven is known for his energy, professionalism, and player-first approach. His focus is on helping players build strong technical skills, confidence, and a love for the game while supporting coaches in delivering high-quality training environments.

Has been coaching at CPSC for 20 years and holds a US Soccer D license and a Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma. Played for University of Colorado at Denver. 

Currently working with the U10 boys program. 

Has been coaching at CPSC for 8 years and holds a US Soccer D license and a Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma. Played for SUNY Morrisville and Stony Brook. Was the Head Coach of the Sienna Women’s Club team for 6 years.  Currently the Head Coach of the Bryant & Stratton College Albany Women's Soccer Team.

 Currently working with the U16 and U19 boys teams. 

Grew up playing for Clifton Park Soccer.  Has been coaching at CPSC for 12 years and holds a US Soccer D license, Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma and a United Soccer Coaches Level 1 Goalkeeping Diploma.   Assistant Coach with the Sienna Women’s team since 2017.   Serves as the CPSC Goalkeeping Director.  

 Currently working with the U6, U8, U12 and Goalkeeper training programs. 

 Has been coaching at CPSC for 9 years and holds a US Soccer Grassroots license and a Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma.   Assistant Coach with the Union College Swim Women’s team (2003-2005).   

 Currently working with the U10 and U12 girls programs.

Has been coaching at CPSC for 18 years and holds a US Soccer D license and a Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma.  Has coached both boy’s and girl’s teams from age groups U10 all the way through to U19.  He enjoys the game of soccer and considers himself a student of the game.  Pat has held roles here at CPSC such as Tournament Director, Finance Chairperson, Just4Kicks Director (Pat started this program), and is currently the club Vice President.  Pat has three children who all grew up playing here at the club.
